Success Story - Wilson Transportation

Wilson Transportation, Inc. (www.wilsontransportation.com ) has been serving the transportation needs of customers since 1995 across the United States and Canada. Recently, Wilson became a VersentCheck client and went through an upgrade of their technology hardware. One of the questions the purple guys often hear after an upgrade is “what do we do with our old gear?” Purple guys Mike Terry and Kevin Helt realized that it would be a great if Wilson’s old equipment could go to another VersentCheck client to make a much needed upgrade.

That client was The Center for Practical Bioethics (www.practicalbioethics.org), a not for profit organization that helps patients and families, healthcare professionals, policymakers and corporate leaders develop reasoned, real-world responses to complex ethical issues.

Because of Wilson’s generosity, The Center was able to replace a tape backup drive that was so small that it required them to do two backups per day…and they still could not get all of their data backed up. Wilson also donated seven 19” monitors, which replaced the 15” monitors The Center had been using. When Rachel Reeder at The Center heard that Wilson was making the donation, she said “sounds like Heaven to me!”

So in the end, everybody wins. Wilson is able to write off the donation, The Center gets much needed equipment and the purple guys get to help two great clients. We love it when that happens!
