Purple Particulars - Purple Krazy Glue

If you want something to stick, think purple.
Glue dates back as far as 4000 B.C., but now purple has really energized the glue industry. In 2005, Krazy Glue came out with a Color Change Formula. It goes on purple and dries clear. It bonds instantly to wood, metal, ceramic, pottery, rubber, vinyl, leather and plastic surfaces. One Illinois woman reportedly even used the glue to seal a leak in her boat that was a mile offshore.
Instant Krazy Glue a super-strong, fast-drying adhesive was introduced to the North American market in 1973. Most of us remember the Instant Krazy Glue "construction worker dangling from his hard hat that is stuck to a girder with Krazy Glue" TV commercials.
What do you do if you stick your fingers together? Don't worry. Just soak acetone or ordinary nail polish remover containing acetone on the bonded area. The bond will break but be sure to rinse the area thoroughly after de-bonding. If you don't have acetone handy, have a little patience! Soak the bonded area in warm soapy water. Carefully peel or roll the skin apart gently and slowly. DO NOT PULL APART, Instant Krazy Glue creates a VERY strong bond that's nearly impossible to break by pulling straight up and down. If you gently roll the skin, you will gradually diminish the bonds between the Instant Krazy Glue molecules themselves and be able to get your fingers apart.
