Success
Story - A. L. Huber
A.L. Huber General
Contractor president Augie Huber knew that computers are vital
to the success of his business, but the company did not have anyone
on staff to handle its information technology needs.
"We were left hiring people who could come in and put out
a fire but didn't know anything about our business. They didn't
do anything proactive," Huber said. He used this method for
about two years.

"It
was keeping us from growing with technology, servicing our clients
and it caused a lot of stress with employees."
Huber considered hiring someone to handle technology. Instead,
he began exploring outsourcing options.
About the
same time, a virus hit the company's
computers
and Huber called Versent. Versent fixed the virus and performed
a system-wide audit, something Huber's company had never done.
"What
surprised me was they were familiar with the building industry
software that we used every day," he said. "You expect
any tech to be knowledgeable, but this went beyond that."
Huber's firm decided to hire Versent to handle its computer needs.
Huber believes outsourcing his company's technology needs to Versent
was a smart move. "They provide us with both strategic and
tactical technology support," he said. "I'm absolutely
certain I've saved 30 to 40 percent in technology costs and it's
made everybody's life easier," Huber said. "They have
provided tremendous peace of mind."
